Transport
The Milk Assembly department is responsible for the collection of milk from United members and delivery to customers. This is carried out by a fleet of approximately 100 tankers operated by owner drivers, contract hauliers and employees.
Each tanker is equipped with a highly accurate meter, automatic sampler and data transfer equipment which communicates information by computer to and from Head Office daily. The department is responsible for bulk deliveries of milk and processed liquids to milk processors in the Province and further afield when necessary.
